Minutes of Barkway Parish Council Annual Meeting
Held remotely, via Zoom, on 4th May 2021 at 7pm.

Members of the Public: Four members of the public were present
1. To elect Chairman for the year 2021/22 and sign Declaration of Acceptance of Office. It was proposed, seconded and all
voted unanimously in favour that Cllr. Dennis become Chair. The Acceptance of Office form was duly signed.
2. To elect Vice-Chairman for the year 2021/22 - It was proposed, seconded and all voted unanimously in favour
that Cllr. Baker become Vice Chair.
3. To fix calendar of meetings for 2021/22 - It was agreed that Ordinary Parish Council meetings would be held on the second
Tuesday of every month (apart from the meeting in June, which would be held on Tuesday 22nd June, as meetings from now
on would need to be held in person again). The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council would be on Tuesday 10th May and the
Annual Parish Meeting be held on Tues 17th May. Agreed.
4. To appoint representatives to serve on Committees
4.1) Finance – The Clerk, Cllrs. Dennis, Connolly and Baker
4.2) Neighbourhood Plan - The Clerk, Cllrs. Dennis, Connolly and Baker
4.3) Planning - Cllrs. Dennis, Tym and Marchant
5. To agree distribution of portfolios for the forthcoming term of office
Corporate Governance - Cllr. Cox
Environment - Cllr. Connolly
Highways - Cllr. Dennis
Planning/Neighbourhood Plan – Cllr. Tym (with help from Cllrs. Dennis and Marchant)
Property - Cllr. Baker
Sports & Recreation - Cllr. Marchant
Communication - Cllr. Stuart
There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.14pm
