Barkway Local History Group
The Barkway Local History Group was set up in 2018 by a small number of local residents to investigate and research the ancient and more recent history of the village for the benefit of residents and the wider community.
The specific aim of the Group are are to actively engage the local community in gathering historical information about Barkway, by working with the community to gather oral memories and by obtaining pictorial and other written records.
The Group is managed by a committee of no more than eight persons and is based in Barkway’s Reading Room, where regular meetings will be held.
